Dentures serve to replace missing teeth in adults. They are usually made for adults who have lost all their teeth and covers the entire upper and lower teeth are, this is called a complete denture. When the denture takes support from remaining teeth to replace only some missing teeth, then it is called an RPD- removable partial denture.

Mastication and speech may also be awkward and challenging for the first few days (sometimes even weeks) of the immediate denture wearing experience. It does provide a certain amount of function and esthetics for the patient.

Flexible Dentures in India
Flexible dentures are a kind of partial denture, but these ones are made of different materials than ordinary partial dentures. Flexible dentures are made of a thin thermoplastic material such as nylon, compared to the thicker and more rigid acrylic used in conventional dentures.
You may find that flexible partial dentures are a more comfortable fit than other removable partial dentures, especially if you’re still new to wearing replacement teeth.
Not only that, but most partial dentures are usually made with metal parts which can sometimes show. Flexible dentures do not use any metal parts so tend to look and feel a lot more natural.
Removal Partial Dentures in India
A removable partial denture (RPD) is a denture for a partially edentulous patient who desires to have replacement teeth for functional or aesthetic reasons and who cannot have a bridge (a fixed partial denture) due to the lack of required teeth to serve as support for a bridge.
This type of prosthesis is referred to as a removable partial denture because patients can remove and reinsert it when required without professional help.
A removable partial denture or bridge usually consists of replacement teeth attached to a pink or gum-colored plastic base, which is sometimes connected by metal framework that holds the denture in place in the mouth.
Removable partial dentures possess clasps of cobalt-chrome or titanium metal or plastic that “clip” onto the remaining teeth, making the RPD more stable and retentive. Not only does a partial denture fill in the spaces created by missing teeth, it prevents other teeth from changing position.
Implant-Supported Prosthesis in India
An implant-supported prosthesis is a denture, which is both retained and supported by dental implants. These dentures are designed specifically to be removable. They are often taken out nightly by the wearer for cleaning.
A short period of surgery is required for the implants to be placed into the jawbone and once this is done they’re left to heal and bond with the surrounding bone and gum tissue to form a permanent fixture in the mouth.
Special fittings are then used to attach the dentures to the implants and the wearer can simply remove them for cleaning and then snap them back into position.
The advantages of implant supported dentures are numerous and include;
• Stability– Because the implants are embedded into the jaw to support the dentures they remain stable and secure, unlike anything you could ever hope for when using dental adhesive.
• Improved functionality– Once the implant secured dentures are in place, patients are able to speak, bite, and chew far more easily than they could with conventional dentures.These dentures can withstand a far greater biting force and the wearer will find they can eat a wider diet without being limited to softer foods.
